Adelaide Now name Barb Jungr as one of the top hidden treasures of the @AdelaideCabaret festival

FROM Wicked Broadway witches to 1980s Hollywood icons and Grammy Award-winning jazz divas, there is no shortage of big-name stars at this month’s Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

The real treasures of the program, however, are often buried a little deeper. For every Kristin Chenoweth, Molly Ringwald or Cassandra Wilson, there are artists who specialise in the more intimate, inspired and intriguing aspects of cabaret.

Whether it’s uncanny vocal impressions, budding composers or camp comedy, the musical selection for this year’s festival is nothing if not diverse.
